We defined a sonic identity for Aston Martin that flows through the design of all the functional and in-car tones; ensuring everything you hear enriches the feeling of luxury, the thrill of the engineering and the precision of the design.
Online testing revealed a disparity between the previous tones – things like the indicator, seatbelt warnings and parking sensors – and the feeling you have when sitting in an Aston. When we asked what car consumers thought the sounds came from, the top answers were Nissan and Kia. When we tested the new sounds, the top answers were Rolls Royce, Aston and Bentley.
The sounds we designed not only enhance perception, but are also created to be as functional as possible, even improving driver alertness and reaction times.
The in-car tones even got a mention from Clarkson...
